Your Own Interpretation

Now that you've learned a few methods of biblical interpretation, it's time to put that knowledge to good use. Pick a passage you find interesting, and see what treasures you're able to unearth by using one or more of these methods. You can also see what discoveries other visitors have made as they've delved into various biblical texts.

But please be patient with us! This part of the site is relatively new and thus still a work in progress. We will continue to update it periodically, but in the meantime feel free to peruse some of the interpretations already sent to us by selecting one of the books below.

Would you like to join them? If you have an interpretation you'd like to share, please go to the Contact page and send us what you've got. We're always looking for additional material to share with other bible enthusiasts out there. We can't include everything we receive, but if yours is chosen, we'll contact you to make sure we have your permission to post your exegesis along with your first name and hometown. (We might also ask permission to do some light editing, especially to keep submissions to a reasonable length.)

Please also note that we have a few simple guidelines for the interpretations that we post. We want to insure that this site remains a handy resource for our visitors, so we'll have to be selective in what we include on the site. Interpretations should have something new and insightful to offer, so we won't be including standard interpretations of familiar passages - as useful as those are. We're also open to all sorts of approaches and points of view but don't want to veer too far into ways of reading Scripture that would be unhelpful for most of our visitors (e.g. reading the bible literally or using it to predict the future).
